If you’re anything like me and want to protect your macbook pro when traveling daily, check out the Samsonite Tectonic Large Backpack.
After literally 2 months of looking around at all my options, this bag was the final winner and worth every penny!
To get the best protection for your Macbook Pro, consider the Samsonite Tectonic Large Back pack. This back will hold a 15″ Macbook Pro with lots of room to spare, and also accommodate owners of the 17″ Macbook pro as well. The bag is so roomy, you it can safely allow you to carry ALL kinds of extra accessories that most bags and cases can’t (at least not as comfortably). It’s VERY well padded and has 2 large compartments, 1 medium section, and 1 small section. There is also the ever handy water bottle side pockets and a very comfortable top handle. Like you would expect from all Samsonite products, the design was well thought out for any laptop user and made to keep it’s owner comfortable while traveling. The bag has extra cushion pads on the back to protect you from being poked by stray content corners or adapters that may protrude. These pads also providing less contact points against your back which really helps to prevent the big sweat spot from appearing on your shirt. I need to carry a laptop to and from the office daily, so my computer and its data must be kept well protected with adequate padding and space the will not put a lot of pressure on the laptop. I also use a MacCase sleeve (found here on amazon at Best MacBook Pro Sleeve) so things do not scratch my Macbook while in my bag too, but that might be an overkill for others.

At the time (December 2011) I purchased my Samsonite Tectonic Backpack for my $51.19 through amazon.com and was not charged for shipping or taxes. Most retail stores carried this back for $70+, even on sale. It arrived in 6 days, even with a federal holiday in between.
